Our growing corner

Last term we found some unused tyres lying around school. We decided they needed to be reused. So we have planted them out with radishes, lettuces and chives.

Here is our Diary
Week 1 - Seeds were sown.
Week 2 - "The seeds had made shoots and roots" said Maia.
Week 3 - "The radishes have now grown 4 cm and the shoot had turned red" said Zoe and Ellah. "You have to look extremely hard to see the chives" chorused Room 10. "The lettuces have two leaves they are red and green" said Natsune.

Walking up the Skyline

Yesterday the year 3 classes walked up the skyline Hill. First it was really steep. At some Parts it was really rocky. After it was like rock climbing. There were heaps of stairs. I got to sit on the Kings chair. We were the first class to arrive at the top. We kept on walking and came to a water fall and had a paddle to cool down. I walked across the dam and the bottom of my shoes got wet. There was a big pipe and I walked all over it. When I saw the end of the pipe I saw another person’s face. That night I got the cramps. I liked cooling down in the river. I felt like a turtle trotting down the track.
